Vote & Compete

When the competition goes live, the community decides — through votes and listens combined.

  • Each user gets 1 vote per competition — vote for the track you think deserves to win
  • Every 10 SoundCloud plays = 1 extra vote — promote your track and get rewarded for the traction you earn
  • Final score: community votes + play-derived votes
  • Private track competitions are 100% vote-based — no play tracking
  • Track your position on the live leaderboard in real-time
SCORE = community votes + (SoundCloud plays ÷ 10)

FAQ

FREQUENTLY
ASKED

Can I submit multiple tracks to the same competition?

No, each user can only submit one track per competition. Choose your best work.

When can I submit my track?

You can submit anytime after registration opens and before the competition start date. Once the competition goes live, submissions close.

How does voting work?

Each registered user gets exactly 1 vote per competition. You can vote for any track except your own. Votes cannot be changed once cast. For public track competitions, every 10 SoundCloud plays your track earns during the competition also counts as 1 extra vote — so promoting your track matters too.

What happens if the competition fills up?

Some competitions have participant limits. When the limit is reached, no more submissions are accepted. Register early to secure your spot.

Do I need to upload my track?

No file upload needed. Upload your track to SoundCloud, then paste the URL when submitting — we handle the rest. For public track competitions, the SoundCloud link must be public so play counts can be tracked. For private / unreleased track competitions, a private SoundCloud link is fine.

Can I submit private SoundCloud tracks?

Yes — if the competition creator has enabled it. When setting up a competition, the organiser chooses the Track Type: Public Tracks (public SoundCloud links required, plays tracked, scoring = votes + play-derived votes) or Private / Unreleased Tracks (private SoundCloud links accepted, 100% vote-based). This setting is separate from whether the competition itself is public or private — a publicly accessible competition can accept private SoundCloud tracks, and vice versa.

How are winners determined?

Public Track Competitions: Score = community votes + (SoundCloud plays earned during competition ÷ 10). Every vote counts as 1, every 10 plays counts as 1 extra vote. Private Track Competitions: Ranked 100% by votes — no play tracking. The leaderboard shows real-time rankings throughout, and final results are locked when the competition ends.
